A group of young people introduce us to Germany's liveliest
city in an exciting mix of documentary-style interviews, animations
and songs. In the course of the series, we get to know Marko,
Miriarn, Daniel, Esther, Thomas and Jessica. We learn about
their, lives, families, friend's and interests. The programmes
are made entirely in German as a coproduction with the Goethe
Institut.
Hello aus Berlin supports German teaching at this revel by
presenting carefully controlled language which is accessible
and clear; providing information on German life and culture
utilising a variety of presentation formats. Each programme
also features Rolli and Rita - a state of the art cartoon,
and a purpose-written song to drill core language elements,
offering students opportunities to develop key language skills.

This dramatic five part series has been specially filmed
in Hamburg. It centres around Thomas and his group of friends
who decide to do up an old neglected boat, unaware of the
potential consequences. This series is suitable for intermediate
learners of German who are in the 14- 16 age group. It uses
clear German at an appropriate level to reveal a gripping
story about young German people in an authentic setting. The
drama provides a focus and a stimulus for language use and
discussion.

Beginner
Filmed on location throughout Germany and Austria, this series
introduces the German language through a combination of interviews
with local people and short documentaries on aspects of German
culture and society. Students will acquire skills in simple,
everyday conversation, develop comprehension of more complex
language, be able to get around in a German-speaking country
and appreciate regional variations of accent and culture.
