Rain
When Jeanne sells her Bed-andBreakfast and moves into an RV, she expects the peace of solitude on the road, but instead she finds that RV camps are home to a flexible community of people who know how to make friends quickly. One of her temporary neighbours is a college student whose husband has disappeared without a trace. Dismayed by the in-laws who come looking for her neighbour in order to threaten and blame, Jeanne gets involved. Another neighbour, a retired cop, reacts protectively, too. Their innocent offer of friendly helpfulness ultimately entangles them in a network of secrets, hate and violence.

Death of an Obnoxious Tourist
Dotsy Lamb and her friend Lettie are on a group tour of Italy when a singularly obnoxious woman, travelling with her two younger sisters, is murdered in her Florence hotel room. Dotsy enlists the aid of the scatty but observant Lettie and hooks up with Marco Quattrocchi, the attractive carabinieri captain in charge of the investigation. There are motives galore. The murdered tourist has insulted practically everyone in the tour group, her two sisters are left with a nice inheritance, and she may have had a drug connection to the fiance of the tour guide. If Dotsy doesn't find the missing threads to a complex tapestry of deceit and corruption, the next dead tourist's body could be her own.
