Cathy Casidy
Lucky Star
Born in Coventry in 1962, Cathy Cassidy wrote her first picture book at the age of eight for her brother, and sold her first short story to a national magazine at 16. After a degree in illustration she worked on national teen and educational magazines before qualifying as an art teacher. She now lives in Scotland with her husband, two young children, three cats, two rabbits and one dog.
Lucky Star - a Young Adult title - follows the success of Dizzy, Indigo Blue, Driftwood, Scarlett, Love, Peace and Chocolate and Sundae Girl, and is a fantastic story for older children that follows on from Dizzy to pick up the story of Mouse. A dramatic rollercoaster ride of a book, it deals with family, friends and fighting back against injustice to find the magic in life.

The Kite Rider
When Di Chou causes Haoyou's father to die of fright by sending him up into the sky on a wind tester, he then proposes marriage to Haoyou's newly widowed mother. Haoyou goes to great lengths to thwart evil Di Chou, but the plan has unexpected consequences, because The Great Miao, master of the Jade Circus, wants Haoyou for his circus. This amazing story evokes all the excitement of thirteenth century China, from the foul-smelling waterfront at Dagu, and the fabulous Jade Circus with its Chinese acrobats and Mongol horsemen, to the magnificence of the Kublai Khan's summer camp.
'A wonderful novel' - The Guardian
'Packed with aaion and intrigue' - Times Educational Supplement

Diary of a Chav: Trainers V. Tiaras
'Nan's got me a buff leather diary for Christmas! So now I - Shiraz Bailey Wood - can write down all my "goings on".
A lot of snooty folk call Shiraz Bailey Wood a chav. Well, if by 'Chav' you mean 'Charming, Hilarious, Articulate and Vibrant', Shizza doesn't mind that at all.
