Southern Scene regularly supports programs for the disabled. As a celebration of our thirtieth year the boat illustrated was donated to Sailability NSW incorporated - Cronulla Branch, to enable children and adults, who are physically or intellectually disabled, to enjoy the pleasure and exhilaration of sailing. Sailability is an Australia wide movement that facilitates an on-water activity for everyone, regardless of an individuals ability. Southern Scene Boat

The Access 303 (pictured) is a revolutionary dinghy designed in Australia. Sailed by one or two people who recline in a webbing (lazy chair), steering the boat with a joy stick located directly in front of the sailor. A 1 meter weighted keel gives the boat excellent stability, the 303 can be equipped with motors that enable a profoundly disabled person to control the sail and rudder.
